Is it Possible to Define a Science-based Yet Awe-inspiring Worldview and Way of Life?

1/ Some people have been asking what I’m doing these days. I’m working on a couple of projects, but the one I’m most excited about right now is: Defining a coherent and comprehensive science-based worldview / way of life that still stirs up feelings of awe and gratitude towards life.

2/ You can think of this as continuing along the lines that Carl Sagan and Einstein talked about. Of course now we have the benefit of a lot more scientific knowledge than they did. And I feel like such a project is now both possible and timely.

3/ To start with, I intend to talk about a few #deepturtles. A #deepturtle is a fundamental scientific aspect of reality that reality itself may rest on. (It’s a riff on the old “it’s turtles all the way down” story.)

4/ I intend to write a bunch of tweetstorms explaining each of these deep turtles. While these concepts can be hard to understand, I hope to present them in a fun and engaging manner. (There will be stories and pictures.)

5/ And eventually I hope to integrate all of them together to present the coherent and comprehensive science-based worldview that I am developing. (I know, quite a “moonshot” project, but I’m going to try it.)

And finally, here is the corresponding tweetstorm.
